Problems installing

Hey folks,

I got problems installing inventree

I set -e INVENTREE_CACHE_ENABLED=False
As well as

cache:
  enabled: false

But it still fails to start with the attempt to connect to the cache

I don't want this cache and the documentation showed it as optional

How do I get it to start up without the cache?

Using the docker image 1.1.3, not using docker compose since I'm defining the container in nix:

Error -2 connecting to inventree-cache:6379

The inventree-cache value is being configured somewhere as it does not exist in the code. So, check the configuration yaml file, and comment out the following lines:

  port: 6379

Okay, that kinda fixes it but still throws a warning:

This is not what I would expect tho... usually, when I disable a component, the other settings of this component don't matter, cause they aren't even looked at atnymore.

Ok, so looking into it further, because you are passing a string value "False", rather than False (a boolean value), it was being interpreted as True (which is clearly a bug). There's a fix incoming in #10826
