This fork supports 42, so maybe the settings can be copied from there?

That fork isn't published on the gnome extensions site, so I prefer this one. 😄

Not Better OSD-specific, but maybe relevant: (With Better OSD disabled) on GNOME 42.4 (current Manjaro):

• laptop brightness keyboard buttons show the (brightness) indicator only on the laptop screen, not on my extra screens. But
• sound volume up/down (triggered by either my laptop function keys, or my external keyboard special keys, or my USB headphones up/down control) show the (volume) indicator on all my screens.
