Example button does not visually respond to clicking

Describe the bug

In this example, the button appears to not be working. It is indistinguishable from a .png screenshot of a button.

Is it disabled?

I was expecting a visual change of some kind when hovering the button and when clicking the button. This would be consistent with other buttons I see in working applications.

And attempt to do normal stuff with that button: hover, click
