How to install?

Hi, happy I found your project. There are hardly any selfhostable flashcard applications here. So I wonder if you could provide us some basic installations instructions? Thanks for your time!

Hey @TheNomad11, I'm glad you are showing interest in this project!

A little disclaimer: this project is not completed and may have some bugs here and there.

I'm assuming you already have git and node installed on your system. You will need both to continue.

Open a terminal at the desired directory and clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/h16nning/skola.git

change the directory

cd skola

install the required packages

npm install

start the dev server

npm start

If you intend to run it more often create a build optimized for produciton like this

npm build

Thanks alot, I was able to install it on a VPS. I just realised that it is browser only, so that means the cards are not saved on the server? So one cannot continue using the cards on the mobile? It is easy to loose all your data as well?
