list always indents for each new item

normally when I create a list I do not have a child list immediately, I would expect the list is aligned at the same indent level, however now it just keeps indenting to the right? how can I set it to stay at the same level? if I do need indent to a child list, I can always do > or TAB then.

I’m new to riv.vim, but after skimming the page :RivInstruction, I’ve found that placing the following into Neovim’s init.vim works:

let g:riv_disable_indent = 1
