Unable to load world models into GraspIt!

I opened GraspIt! in the terminal and the program and when the program opened, and the terminal put out this error:

Gtk-Message: 20:14:24.526: Failed to load module “canberra-gtk-module”
Please set GRASPIT environment variable to the root directory of graspIt.

I then proceeded to open models in the world folder and all the models I tried gave the error or something very similar:

Could not open /models/objects/flask.xml

If anyone has the solution to this it would be appreciated!

you should export GRASPIT= 'the path of graspit drictory ' first
