Line height

I love Nunito font and would like to use it on our mobile app, but when changing from Monteserrat we have encountered
problem with line height. It is happening both on Android and iOS and requires many tweaks to change programmatically line height during development. I am just wondering if there are any possibilities to easily change font height, for example using application such as Glyphs 3. Forgive me if my question is very layman's, but I don't do font design on a daily basis. However, increased line height negatively affects the aesthetics and placement of elements in the app.

Maybe the reason is because font size is in Nunito about 2 pts larger than other fonts? When changing font from other to Nunito I have to change for example from 14 to 16 to keep previous size.
