Text unselectable, cannot paste anything as input/prompt

With the update published yesterday, the UX of Gemini CLI has been reduced significantly and annoyingly.

• I cannot paste anything as an input or command.
• I cannot select any texts within the CLI.

I am really disappointed with this update. I was expecting way better developments, but instead, I see the core usability functions disappeared.

Please fix this...

Edit:

• With the recent update an hour ago, now the system shows a warning message when you try drag the mouse around the console while clicking; notifying Press CTRL-S to enter selection mode to copy text.

When pasting multi-line text into the Gemini CLI, the content is immediately submitted automatically, instead of being placed in the input prompt for review.
This auto-submission causes the text to become corrupted. The formatting is broken, lines are truncated, and parts of the input are mixed with my initial prompt text. This makes it impossible to correctly paste and send any complex information, such as code snippets, logs, or formatted documentation.

For copying use Shift + Control and then highlight the text in the terminal with your mouse to copy.

1. Looks like a bad and unwanted feature from UX POV!
2. Scroll is also bad.., although release mentioned its enhanced, it feels too laggy to me.
