Virtual Textures for Fortnite v9.41

i'm having a problem with viewing virtual textures and i get an error for whenever i try to view them. i can see meshes fine and but it's just the virtual textures i'm having a problem with.

this is when i turn off the 'Textures' option on startup:

i think others might have talked about this problem and if it can't be resolved, it'll be fine and i'll understand.
