Support for the EXAONE 4.0 model architecture

Motivation

Hello, maintainers!

We are excited to announce the upcoming release of our new model series, EXAONE 4.0.
As part of the release, we would like to provide .GGUF files of the model checkpoints for end users.
To make this possible, we kindly ask for support for the EXAONE 4.0 architecture in llama.cpp and, in turn, other GGUF-compatible libraries.

The implementation of the architecture is available in our PR on Huggingface Transformers.

We would really appreciate your consideration in adding support for EXAONE 4.0 models.

An interesting explanation of their license

Here's a brief summary of the EXAONE AI Model License Agreement:

• Model can only be used for research purposes - no commercial use allowed at all (including using outputs to improve other models)

• If you modify the model, you must keep "EXAONE" at the start of its name

• Research results can be publicly shared/published

• You can distribute the model and derivatives but must include this license

• LG owns all rights to the model AND its outputs - you can use outputs for research only

• No reverse engineering allowed

• Model can't be used for anything illegal or unethical (like generating fake news or discriminatory content)

• Provided as-is with no warranties - LG isn't liable for any damages

• LG can terminate the license anytime if terms are violated

• Governed by Korean law with arbitration in Seoul

• LG can modify the license terms anytime

Basically, it's a research-only license with LG maintaining tight control over the model and its outputs.
