Feature Request: Publish to Microsoft Store

It would be extremely helpful if this application were made available through the Microsoft Store. Many devices - particularly corporate or managed laptops - have policies that restrict installations to Microsoft Store apps only, so this would improve accessibility for those users.

If there are no current plans to publish it to the Microsoft Store, I would like to request permission to do so myself. I understand that due to licensing and potential trademark considerations (particularly regarding the app's name), I would need explicit approval to proceed with this.

We're working on it. Due to our inexperience with the process we don't have a concrete timeline but we hope to have in there by the end of summer.

Thanks for the quick response! I recently went through the process of publishing an open-source app to the Microsoft Store, and based on that experience, I believe repackaging this into MSIX format and preparing it for the Store could be done in an afternoon.

Our plan was to deploy the EXE directly with the /install flag, but the challenge for us currently is who will hold the publisher account and pay the fee to Microsoft.

I’ve gone down that path myself, and I can tell you - it gets expensive and complicated, since the .exe file needs to be signed, which comes with a high cost. On the other hand, with the MSIX format, Microsoft handles the signing for you, and you only need to pay a one-time $19 developer fee.
