Hi, the 245-bus transceivers require a direction-signal (which is then controlling all 8 lines) -- the firmware is not designed to do this (and you'd need a LVC245!). That's why I use the CBTD3861. There might be sellers shipping to your place, have you asked them? |

My SID just died on me .. I found your great project here -- Excellent work!
have a question though:
is it possible to build the interface board from scratch using just 2x 74HC245 IC's (or other similar types) for level shifting and wired directly to pi pico pins/ SID socket ?! -- I understand level shifters are required for 5v-> 3.3v TTL signal conversions
I couldn't find any helpful schematic for the interface board ..
I don't need any fancy features , just a drop in SID replacement to get my sound working again -- from the parts I already have .. and I can't order from PCBway the interface boards (I live in remote location and overseas)
