Describe the Bug

I know there are a few closed "Cancel button doesn't work" issues but I want to report that the button still doesn't work:

Today I upgraded my Nextcloud server from v31.0.9 to v32.0.1. During the process, Bookmarks plugin on server got disabled which I didn't notice. During the server upgrade process I was prompted to run occ maintenance:repair --include-expensive command.

When I thought I completed the Nextcloud server upgrade, I noticed that Flocus add-in in my browser showed an error. Well, Flocus in Vivaldi showed an error message E019: HTTP status 404. Failed POST request. Check our server configuration and log. while clicking the Debug Logs button only created empty text files. Flocus in Firefox however was stuck in "Syncing". And that's where I noticed that the Cancel button still doesn't work: I am unable to stop it. I had to restart the entire browser to solve the problem.

PS: I mentioned the server upgrade (=how I temp. broke my Flocus clients) in detail because I run into a bizarre problem during the upgrade: As mentioned, plugin got disabled during upgrade. I had to upgrade to v16.0.0 first. However, with Bookmarks v16.0.0 enabled, I still got HTTP status 404. Enabling the plugin brought back the Bookmarks star icon in Nextcloud dashboard (and it disappeared when I disabled the plugin again) but accessing /apps/bookmarks/ still resulted in a 404 error -- for me and Flocus. After spending some time debugging (nothing in PHP's or Nextcloud's error log) I decided to run the occ maintenance:repair --include-expensive again with enabled Bookmarks plugin which finally brought the Bookmarks plugin back to life.

Expected Behavior

Cancel button should always cancel a running sync process in any state allowing the user to restart.

To Reproduce

Break your Flocus backend and wait for next sync to happen in Firefox which will run forever...
