Is v13 the only way to use Flameshot on Fedora with the COSMIC DE?

The most recent version of Flameshot installable via dnf is 12.1.0, which is 3 years old and doesn't work due to qt.qpa.wayland: Wayland does not support QWindow::requestActivate(). This response in a related issue states that the main branch works fine, but the main branch is also clearly newer than the current stable release. Flathub only offers v12.1.0 as well.

Am I correct in concluding I currently have to manually clone and build Flameshot from the github repo to use it on Fedora with COSMIC?

We just released a beta of v13. Probably will have a stable release over the weekend. You can use the prebuilt binaries from the release page or the v13 release from flathub when its released.

It's very beta support on Cosmic, in my testing it still is pretty buggy but I think its on the cosmic side.

It would actually help us quite a bit if you go to the release page and download the v13 Beta release and report back your results. Thanks!
