Slash command menu not appearing in Memos tab

Description

The Memos tab displays a guide saying "Press / for commands," but pressing / does not open a command menu. The character appears in the text field, but no command palette or menu is displayed.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open the Memos tab
2. Click in a memo text field
3. Press the / key
4. Expected: Command menu appears
5. Actual: No menu appears; / is typed as a regular character

Investigation Findings

Root Cause

The placeholder text in the Memos (Raw) editor promises "Press / for commands," but no slash command extension or / trigger is wired up for the note editor. The / character is simply typed as regular text because nothing intercepts it.

Relevant Files

• apps/desktop/src/session/components/note-input/raw.tsx — The Placeholder component (lines 147–172) renders "Press / for commands." in the note editor. The RawEditor only passes a mentionConfig with trigger: "@" (line 85) to NoteEditor — no / trigger exists.
• packages/tiptap/src/editor/index.tsx — The NoteEditor component. It accepts an optional mentionConfig prop but has no concept of slash commands. There is no slashCommandConfig prop like the ChatEditor has.
• packages/tiptap/src/chat/index.tsx — The ChatEditor component does define a SlashCommandConfig interface (lines 23–27) and accepts a slashCommandConfig prop. However, internally it maps it to a mention with trigger: "@" (line 63), not /.
• packages/tiptap/src/editor/mention.tsx — The underlying mention/suggestion system that powers both @ mentions and the chat's slash-command-like feature. It uses @tiptap/suggestion with a configurable trigger character.
• packages/tiptap/src/shared/extensions/index.ts — The shared TipTap extensions used by both editors. No slash command extension is registered here.

How It Got Here

• Commit be85898b8 (PR refactor: clarify session placeholder copy #4510, "refactor: clarify session placeholder copy") added the "Press / for commands" placeholder text to the raw note editor on Mar 11, 2026. This was a copy/UX change only — no corresponding slash command functionality was implemented.
• Commit 5073aa11c (PR Wire up chat shortcuts as slash commands in chat input #3836, "Wire up chat shortcuts as slash commands in chat input") added slash command support to the chat editor on Feb 11, 2026, but this was never ported to the note editor.

Possible Approaches

1. Implement slash commands for the note editor: Add a / trigger mention config to NoteEditor (similar to how the chat editor does it, but with trigger: "/"). This would involve:

   • Adding a slashCommandConfig prop to NoteEditor in packages/tiptap/src/editor/index.tsx
   • Creating a / trigger MentionConfig in raw.tsx that provides relevant commands (e.g., insert template, toggle heading, insert task list, etc.)
   • The mention suggestion infrastructure in mention.tsx already supports arbitrary trigger characters, so minimal changes are needed there.

2. Remove the misleading placeholder: If slash commands are not planned for the note editor, update the placeholder text to remove the "Press / for commands" reference. This would be a one-line fix in raw.tsx.

3. Port the chat slash command pattern: The chat input already has useSlashCommandConfig() in apps/desktop/src/chat/components/input/hooks.ts that searches sessions, humans, and organizations. A similar hook could be created for the note editor context.
