On Linux, the Find/Replace dialog becomes greyed-out after a view window gets focus

If the Find/Replace dialog is opened overlapping the Search window, its buttons are greyed-out, and cannot be used until it is closed and re-opened no longer overlapping, either by closing the Search window or by repositioning Find/Replace before closing so that it opens no longer overlapped.

Can not reproduce on 2024-12 on windows. Please test with the 4.34 RC2 on your computer: https://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/index.html
Also describe steps how you manage to open search dialog while in search view.

Thank you Jörg for testing it on Windows. I tried it on 4.34 RC2. The same thing happens.

I can be more specific about the trigger now: It's not about window overlap, but whether the mouse passes through the search results window on the way to the Find/Replace box. When the search results window gets auto-focus through mouse movement, Find/Replace becomes permanently disabled until reopened.

I'll try to run a session with a different window manager to see if it still happens.

This has been happening for me for years, so if it's an Eclipse or WM bug, it's not recent.

Further research: Happens with all view windows ( Window->Show View), not just the Search window. But not with extra main app windows (Window->New Window). Also happens with the Gnome and Xfce window managers as well as MATE.

So it looks to be an Eclipse Linux platform bug, as it is currently tagged.
