Does this directive tie into Angular's form validity checking.

I want to make this multi-select only be valid if at least one choice is selected. I know I can check and write my own message for this, but is there a way to tie into Angular's form validity checking since I am already using this for the other fields ?

Create a custom directive and use https://docs.angularjs.org/api/ng/type/ngModel.NgModelController#$setValidity to validate your drop down. Not saying this is the answer, but it might a good start.
