Consider removing #if flash8 #4

@djcsdy

Description

@djcsdy

#if flash8 appears in the code quite a lot.

In some cases this is to work round missing or defective features in Flash 8. In other cases it appears to be a performance hack.

I’m most uncomfortable where #if flash8 appears in test cases and seems to be running subtly different tests for Flash 8.

Consider whether we can remove these or at least ensure their behaviour is in line with other platforms.

Do we even care about Flash 8 any more?
