In case I run into a bug or problem with IDEasy - how can I analyse and debug IDEasy so maybe I can find a solution myself before asking for support? |

The first step to do is to run $ ide status
Updates are available for the settings repository. If you want to apply the latest changes, call "ide update"
IDE_ROOT is set to D:\projects
IDE_HOME is set to D:\projects\IDEasy
You are offline. Check your internet connection and potential proxy settings.
Your version of IDEasy is 2025.03.001
A new version 2025.06.002 of IDEasy is available. Please run the following command to upgrade to the latest version:
ide upgrade

Further, you can use A common problem is that users create a project that automatically clones repositories that need authentication in git credential manager and even worse the user may not even have the required permission granted to clone the repo.
