Slurm as a Kubernetes deployment

With OpenHPC now publishing containers for the OHPC environment, would it make sense to consider making Slurm a Kubernetes deployment, rather than a bare-metal install? It would allow us to separate the bare-metal OS for the Kubernetes install from the OHPC base OS requirements.
