[Feature Discussion] Extending the Statistics Page

The current statistics page provides a great overview of our activity. I'd like to open a discussion on how we could expand it with more data to provide even deeper insights.

Current Statistics

At the moment, the page displays:

• Top 5 most visited places (all-time).
• Total distance traveled, broken down by transportation mode.
• Yearly and monthly breakdowns of the above metrics.

Proposal

To make this feature even more powerful, I propose we collect ideas for new statistics to add.

Ideas for New Statistics

To start the conversation, here are a few potential ideas:

• Time-based Comparisons:
  • This week/month/year vs. last week/month/year data.
  • A rolling "Last 365 days" view for all key metrics.
• Frequency & Averages:
  • Total number of check-ins/trips.
  • Average distance per trip.
  • Average time spent per visit.
  • Number of unique places visited.
• Additional "Top" Lists:
  • Most frequently used transportation mode (by trip count).
  • Most visited categories of places (e.g., "Top 5 Restaurants," "Top 5 Parks"). This is a common request for music and media apps that could apply here as well support.symfonium.app.
• Personal Bests / Records:
  • Longest single trip (by distance or time).
  • Busiest day/week/month (by number of activities).

These are just initial thoughts to get the ball rolling.

I would personally be very interested in a "find my visits" feature. I'd love to be able to easily see in what years and months I've been to France, or Berlin, etc..

It would be great if clicking on a place in the statistics expanded the card to show more detailed stats about that location—similar to a gallery view that zooms in to fill the page. Ideally, this expanded view could also include an option to "edit" the place directly from the card, or at least provide a link to the main Places view where edits can be made.

I really like the idea of including additional stats such as:

• Last visit (when and how long for)
• Time spent at this place this year
• Time spent at this place over the last 365 days
• Time spent in previous years (if available)

Another interesting feature could be the ability to view all photos taken at, or near, that location—especially if this could be calculated based on date/time of the visit. Integrating images from Immich for visits where photos are not geotagged would make this even more useful.

On a related note, adding support for custom categories (e.g., "Family Homes") would be very helpful for organizing places according to personal preferences.
