Is there an existing issue for this?
Proposed feature request
Similar to #555 PebbleOS weather service data should be accessible by watchfaces, PebbleOS should make calendar data available in the same way.
Problem
Currently applications wishing to display calendar entries have to figure out how to get that data.
This usually means only specific calendars are supported, e.g. Google Calendar, and in many cases the calendars need to be made public to get around complex authentication processes.
Solution
The watch already has access to the calendar(s) on the user's phone which is used to populate the timeline, so this data could be simply made available to applications.
I suspect this is already planned as I remember Eric Migicovsky mentioning it in an interview but couldn't find a corresponding tracking ticket so I decided to create one.
