Ability to submit solutions from API

How about to adding possibility of submitting solutions from API? It will be g8 to solve katas from your favorite text editor

like https://api.codewars.com/<method>?<options> or something like that

When designed and implemented properly, API and web UI would meet in the same implementation on the backend, so submitting a solution via API should be no different than submitting it via web editor. Ideally, end result visible on the site would be identical. What I am concerned with is whether current implementation of API would allow such proper implementation. There are already many cases when API calls ignore privilege checks and authorization requirements, and I think it can be difficult to implement it appropriately with current state of the code :(

I was thinking about such API feature too, when I was wondering how difficult would it be to create a series of plugins for VS to solve and submit solutions.

I wrote a Codewars Intellij plugin that allows submission from Intellij. I was able to reverse-engineer the submission REST call simply by analyzing the network traffic in chrome dev tools. My Intellij Codewars plugin is open-source so if you are relly interested you could acctually get the details from there. I hope the codewars dev team does not change the API.
