BYOH provider

Is there a plan to support BYOH provider?
Our case is that we already have bare metal servers os provisioned, we want to use clusterapi
make these ready server as worker nodes,

I know there are ansible scripts to set up these servers and join them to the kamaji host, but we would like to maintain the gitops/cloudnative way, also easy of upgrading, managing, etc..

If BYOH is not planned, what is the recommended aproach to join nodes in a gitops manner?

We're open to support BYOH, even tho it seems to me the provider is not maintained anymore. We can do that directly by patching dynamically the required object as we're doing for CAPO, CAPKV, etc. or by using the dynamic patch feature we implemented in the Kamaji control plane provider.

Thanks for your quick answer, you are right it is not maintained any more, it’s doesn’t make sense to work on it’s support.

It's still a bit non documented since it's an advanced configuration, useful for and used by CAPI developers:
