Is the 'url' in config.yaml used anywhere?

During the transition to The Workbench, a config.yaml file was created with metadata. I found the documentation for config.yaml, but it doesn't list the url property.

For our Data Carpentry lesson, the url starts with https://datacarpentry.github.io/, when I expected it to start with https://datacarpentry.org/.

I also found where the value of the url property came from:

But since our lesson is available through datacarpentry.org, I wondered if I could change it without breaking anything. Can I update the url?

Yes, you should be able to update the URL parameter. This is used by sandpaper to fill metadata and provide the root links for the 404 page (If it's empty, it uses the information from the source: parameter).
