Docker images are old on dockerhub?

Looking at DockerHub tags, the latest version I see there is v1.2.2, while here on gh we have 1.9.5. Interestingly, I don't even seen an 1.2.2 release here only this 1.2.1 and then 1.3 from Feb 22, 2023.

Does dockerhub have different versioning, or simply best way to get the docker latest is to go docker-compose and build based on gh release?

Apprise latest version is v1.95
Apprise-API which wraps the v1.95 library is currently v1.2.2

So caronc/apprise on dockerhub is actually made of Apprise-API and not caronc/apprise on github. That also explains why the linuxserver image is called apprise-api.

And I don't have to up the v1.2.2 apprise-api just because there's a new v1.9.5 apprise version, does it pull that automatically?
