Unwanted iframe footer in newtab page after update #49944

Description

I run a custom extension that replaces the newtab page, but since the latest browser update, an iframe footer has started appearing that was never present before. This footer is visually unappealing and disrupts the design of my newtab page. While I've discovered that it can be hidden by right-clicking on it, this should not be necessary, it should be hidden by default or removed entirely, as it serves no apparent purpose and negatively impacts the user experience.
Consider moving Customization button to the browser menu or settings page.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Run an extension that replaces the newtab page
  2. Open a new tab
  3. Look at the bottom of the screen
