See #20359 This isn't a feature we're looking to implement. In general, the recommendation is to use an automation platform like Home Assistant. |

Hi,
it would be great to have the ability to create custom, configurable action buttons directly within the Frigate camera live view. These buttons could execute predefined actions, such as sending MQTT messages or calling webhooks. This feature would allow users to quickly react to real-time events directly from the Frigate interface.
Example Scenario:
_At 23:45, Frigate detects motion in the driveway and detects a person in the live view.
The homeowner checks the camera feed and realizes it’s a family member returning home — no action is taken.
Few minutes later, motion is detected again. This time, the live view shows an unknown person walking around near the parked car and the front door. The homeowner immediately clicks “Activate Siren”, which sends an MQTT command to trigger the outdoor alarm and floodlight, scaring the intruder away._
Adding configurable action buttons to the live view would:
Thanks in advance and keep up the fantastic work! 👏
