A notification mute and cooldown feature has been implemented in 0.16, currently in beta. https://deploy-preview-16390--frigate-docs.netlify.app/configuration/notifications/ |

I didnt mean notifications like that... I was just using the term notifications as recording motion events. I would want it to continue to record for continuous recording, just disable detecting motion or anything like that. I think the current UI allows you just click each camera and click the button for turning on/off detection. (I assume that doesnt require restarting frigate). I'm just thinking there is room for quality of life improvements there. (again if they dont already exist) |

I like to keep my cameras recording all the time, but when we're out working in the yard, the endless notifications get pretty old.
I know you can go and toggle off detection for each camera, but I'm wondering if a simple system to arm/disarm and potentially schedule or turn off detection for a specified period of time would be doable.
I realize I could probably consume the frigate API and make that happen (havent seen whether it supports those functions) but it'd nice to be able to do that all in one place.
Also, it'd be nice to be able to schedule notifications.
I've just barely got my install somewhat working... and digging around I've not found anything like that. In searching, only reference I've found was something to do with reviewing from home assistant (not exactly what I'm trying to do).
Apologies if I somehow missed an already submitted idea, or something that already exists
