Question: Philips Hue support ?

Hello Richard.

I do plan on adding Phillips Hue support at some point in the (hopefully) not too distant future. I finally got my hands on a cheap Hue Bridge and a couple lights, so I can test this out. Their API doesn't look too crazy, but I don't really have a timeline on this yet.

I'll leave this issue open to keep track of it.

Given the fact your app is called Huely, and the icon used; it's very odd to not even mention that it's not intended for Hue lights. It's so on-the-nose that it's basically misleading.

I apologize for not focusing more time on this project. I agree that Phillips Hue support should be prioritized. Unfortunately I've been having health issues that have prevented me from spending much time outside of my dayjob on this project. I intend to regroup and come back to this in the short term future.

Your work is done out of passion, and donated effort. There is no reason to be sorry for making something that is freely given to all. I appreciate every person who contributes to open-source.
But I feel it could be helpful to mention that Hue support is not possible yet.(when I wrote the original message I don't think it was clearly mentioned, but I could be wrong)

My procrastination has finally paid off. All of my Magic Home compatible LED strips have finally died. Rather than let this project languish without the attention it deserves, I've decided to just archive it. I'll be removing it from Flathub as well. In the meantime, here are some apps that should theoretically allow a user to control Phillips Hue lights in Linux:
