hue lights are not turning on after sunset when triggered by a motion sensor

I have a weird situation. AL is working wonderfully during the day. But as soon as the sun has set, my automation to turn on the lights via motion sensors no longer work. The motion sensors are a combination of Hue & Eve sensors. Ikea lights do turn on, but all Hue lights do not. This must be something that is caused by AL because as soon as i turn off AL for a set of Hue lights, they do turn on when the motion automation is triggered.

I really do like the features of AL but also would like my lights to turn on at night when motion is detected. Any ideas on what might cause this?
