How to reference hostNodeName in Links feature

Hi! I'm trying to create dynamic links using the Links feature that reference the host node name where a pod is scheduled, but I'm having trouble with the variable syntax.

What I'm trying to achieve

Create a link to a Grafana node dashboard that shows metrics for the specific node where my workflow pod is running.

What I've tried

I want to access hostNodeName from the workflow status, but nested variable references don't seem to work:

links:
  - name: Node Dashboard
    scope: pod
    url: "https://grafana.example.com/dashboard?var-node=${workflow.status.nodes.${metadata.name}.hostNodeName}"

I've also tried these variations:

• ${workflow.status.nodes[${metadata.name}].hostNodeName}
• ${workflow.status.nodes[metadata.name].hostNodeName}

Questions

What's the correct syntax for nested variable references in Links?

Any guidance on the proper syntax would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, this is not supported yet, but you’re welcome to submit a feature request.
I believe it is reasonable to add a link with node scope.
