the difference between package name and package class

Hi, I saw in the scanning report there are several package-related fields:

• PkgName in each vulnerability
• package family which includes:
  • Target
  • Class
  • Type

Can you please clarify what each one represents? and the installed version - does it relate to package name or package type? because I saw there are several different package names with the same installed version.
