[GENERAL] Encountring lag on homepage

Description

I have been feeling a bit of lag while scrolling the homepage.

This isn't the first time i have encountered it.

So, just to check once, tried removing the below component, and the page became smooth ~ No lag.

Just went through the problem indepth.

Initially i though it because of the complex svgs. But,

Here's what i have noticed.

The lag is caused by JavaScript + YouTube embed + heavy main-thread work.

The colored bar's in the Frames bar represent,
Yellow = scripting
Green = rendering/paint
Red = long tasks blocking rendering

Since the frame bar has MANY yellow + red segments, it means that js is blocking the scroll.

UPDATE :

✅ The page is now running WAY smoother compared to the earlier traces:

Before:

• Huge purple animation bar (filters + big animations)
• 6K+ ms scripting
• Heavy repainting
• Multiple long tasks
• Jank on scroll

Now:

• Purple bar is shorter
• More green than yellow → more rendering, less JS blocking
• Frames row is more stable
• Layout shifts tiny (CLS only 0.05)
• No obvious long tasks (big red blocks)

This means the optimizations are working.
