Differentiate between never and not set (nil) #9

Currently never and nil are the same, and it is not possible to know if a user set the recurrence rule to never, or didn't set a rule yet.
Would it be possible to return nil if a recurrence rule has not been set, and return never if user choose never as recurrence rule option?
