I got error message while installing Babelpod.
I m running under the latest possible Node ( 11.15 ) , log attached

I had the same error. I fixed installing Python 2.7 on my Pi.
I got an error with the newer version of Python that came with the OS.

sudo apt install python2
npm config set python "/usr/bin/python2.7"

After that you can try to install again.
