I'm currently using AssetStudioCLI to export a huge project, almost 43GB compressed.
I would need to use the Animator mode export.

Right now, I have to enable 60 GB of Swap + 32 GB of ram to avoid going OOM.
It seems that everything gets loaded in memory before converting.

Am I doing something wrong? Isn't it possible to do this operation in steps?

Not with AssetStudioMod.
The best you can do is extract the files before exporting using -m extract -o <output folder>.
