links are dead after firefox bfcache navigation

Provide a general summary of the issue here

in a nextjs production build, when i navigate to an external site with a RAC link which uses a render prop wrapping next/link, and then come back to the site with browser Back button, all client side links are dead.

could only reproduce in firefox and in a production build. chrome and dev server seem to be fine

• clone https://github.com/stefanprobst/issue-rac-next-link-bfcache-firefox
• pnpm install
• pnpm build
• pnpm start
• open http://localhost:3000 in firefox
• click "Leave via a react-aria link"
• press browser Back button
• try to navigate with any of the links in section 2

Seems more like a problem with Firefox's memory when it restores the page state? Do you or they have suggestions to try?

🤷 i have no idea what's going on, sorry.

what's interesting though is that in development it works, only production breaks. and leaving the page with a plain next/link also works, but leaving with a next/link wrapped by rac link does not.

are you suggesting to open an issue directly at firefox bugzilla?

It'd probably be good to file a bug with them as well. I'm happy to have this one linked and see if anyone else comes in with an idea. I'm afraid I don't know too much of how this particular feature works, so I'm not sure what could be going wrong. The only thing I think I know is that it doesn't replay things like "mount effects"
