Migrating from Kafka on EC2 to K8s

I have not thought this through yet, however do you guys have any suggestions/pointers as far as how one would migrate kafka/zookeeper from EC2 to K8s ?

I guess mirrormaker (#175, ) is an option. Note however that with 5.x of this repo we've disabled automatic topic creation (#221).
