Custom meta data fails to import from AIO SEO

Please give us a description of what happened

A custom meta title or description set for a post is not imported; instead the default template is used in Yoast SEO. This may also occur for other post types or taxonomies.

Related issue: #20233 - I was unable to reproduce the behavior in May 2023.

To Reproduce

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

Starting with a vanilla installation:

1. Create or import theme unit test content.
2. Install and activate AIO SEO (use default options in the setup - skip payment)
3. Go to Admin > Posts > All Posts
4. Edit a published post and add a custom meta title and description in AIO SEO
5. Install and activate Yoast SEO (free)
6. Go to Admin > Yoast SEO > Tools > Import and Export > Import from other SEO plugins
7. Select 'All in One SEO Pack' from the dropdown
8. Click 'Import'
9. Edit the same post from above
10. Check the Yoast SEO meta description

Expected results

Custom meta data to be imported and used instead of the imported default templates

Actual results

It shows default templates instead of the custom meta data
