[Mod Support]: door functionality for dimensional doors

Describe the feature

When used to cover rifts to make a dimensional door the door starts "untextured" despite holding a block in offhand.

Also, once placed it becomes unable to be textured, since I guess cause dimensional door functionality takes over and they're just using the door model.

Dim door devs said it might be easier to fix from your side.

I assume what's happening here is that they are entirely "taking over" the block when you apply it to a rift and, like you said, only using the model, at which point I loose all control over it and with that any ability to store the necessary data on it. There is very likely nothing I can do about this.
Do you have a link to the conversation with the DimDoor devs? I'd be curious what they said about this.

Hmm, I'd have hoped that they'd go into a bit more detail. In any case, there is very likely nothing I can do about it as there is, at least at a glance, no way for me to store the necessary data and provide it to the model once they take over the model.
I'll leave this issue open for now to look a bit deeper into it later but the likelihood of this being fixable is very low.
