Unable to serialise current-day RBXL files

This perfectly worked in 2025, but now as of March 2026, when opening a place file made in modern studio (2026 as of now) results on the file not opening on Studio with this error, only happens on RFD´s Roblox Studio, but on RFD´s 2021E Player works fine. Maybe there is no fix since Roblox usually updates their studio engine, like its internal .rbxl serializer and the internal api that generates a .rbxl file or opens and saves .rbxl place files on Studio.

@alainbacu27 i have that issue since 2025L now. I thought its something with unions or anything, but its not, they would just not load and error, still show and BUT error, i can not play lots of games i want to convert to RFD, just makes porting terrain and other stuff impossible.

That doesn't solve anything 99% of the cases, it still errors, and then you can't even open it in modern day studio.

I fixed the serialise feature.

However, terraintest.zip may have been generated with shorelines terrain (post-2022), causing a popup with "Error while decoding data: chunk overflow at 32797 cells".

And Studio won't open FE2-Uncopylocked-2-0.zip because "Attachments must be parented to a PartInstance".

Ah.. Nice that the issue got fixed. Is it me or does sometimes the serialiser transform a 25MB rbxl file into a 90MB one, opening that serialised file, and SAVEING that with RFD Studio makes it smaller again, sometimes even smaller then the 25MB original file size

Is there a way to convert post 2022 terrain to older one?
And maybe we can add a way that WILL load the current day files and just like not show the broken or too new parts, since.
you can ungroup some CURRENT DAY unions in RFD-Studio and reunion them, then they WILL show in RFD Studio, this doesn't work for every union tho, some just dont do anything when ununion them.

I have no clue why that is, that is a uncoyplocked copy of Flood Escape 2 that has been recently updated.

@Windows81 Serialization is still broken, for me sounds have their rolloffs reset. When my friend tries he gets the same thing but his clickdetectors mess up.
