Setting for automatic reopen

I'd like a setting that makes "reopen" (the second half of Restart and Reopen) the default when starting BN.

Currently, the only way to reopen the current set of files is to Restart and Reopen. This makes BN updates fairly straightforward, but it doesn't help with reboots.

It would also be nice if "reopen" (in both situations) remembered which tab was frontmost.

This is possible, but only in the case of a clean and "intentional" exit.

Since I was the last one working on that part of the code, I will give it some more consideration after the H release is completed.

You could preemptively keep a record of what's open every time a file is opened or closed. That would also handle the case of crashes (which I've experienced). I'd be OK with losing which tab was frontmost in the event of a crash.
