Hardware and software communication using TCP/IP Network
The network settings of the PC and US machine need to be set to match the StealthStation, with all devices connected to the network switch. The Mock OR Stealth IP is 128.16.0.2. The Hospital system will be different - the IP address can be found by:
- Starting the StealthStation (connect network before power on)
- Strat a procedure (we will use Cranial during the actual procedure)
- Open the Admin panel -> select system tab -> opena linux window
- Enter the command
ip addr show eth0 - Make a note of the IP address
Alternatively, the IP address of the StealthStation can be specified (not sure if we are allowed to do this with the hospital system? - Tom D):
- Start the Administrator application (username root password ;subrosa;)
- Start the Network config utility (Desktop icon)
- Select No to Would you like to use DHCP to configure the interface?
- Enter a static IP address to use and accept the default netmask
- Exit the utility (click OK several times)
- Restart the StealhStation
