Instant Death when damaged from Custom Npcs mod (Using custom scripts)

Describe the Issue

Using some scripts from the custom npcs mod for 1.20.1, when the player takes damage the hardcore revival mod doesn't work and the player dies immediately. Is it possible to avoid this using configs or something similar?

Hardcore Revival triggers a knockout

• on damage events, meaning whatever is causing the damage must do so through regular means like player.hurt(...)
• only if the damage source is not FELL_OUT_OF_WORLD
• only if the damage source is not one of the ones configured in instantDeathSources of the Hardcore Revival config
• only if the damage source is not caused by an entity whose type appears in instantDeathEntityTypes of the Hardcore Revival config
• in singleplayer, only if disableInSingleplayer of the Hardcore Revival config is false
• in multiplayer, only if there's multiple players or disableInLonelyMultiplayer of the Hardcore Revival config is false
