How can we help on getting a new release out?

There have been several bug fixes since v7.2.0. Some are critical to the use of v7 on our production projects.

What's the process of creating a release? And how can we help to support it?

Hi @alacret. Had earmarked fixing #2851 as the milestone to do our next release, though if there is something holding you up can certainly do one before that. What issues specifically are you stuck on?

Hi @smallsaucepan. Our use case is about a bug introduced in v7.2 when doing nearestPointOnLine using a Linestring with consecutive duplicate values:

The current master branch no longer has that problem. It is just present in v7.2

We released a new version of our app with v6.5, in the meantime we evaluate between waiting for a new release, or publishing a fork, because we have tested locally with the master branch, and it works without any problem.

We're experiencing the exact same issue. The duplicate coordinates problem in nearestPointOnLine is causing significant issues on our end. Is there any update on when a release with a fix for this issue will be available? Forking the repository as a temporary solution is not ideal.

Hi @alacret and @yo-han. To confirm @alacret your issue is solved in master. Appreciate the regression tests you've provided in PR #2903.

@yo-han Is testing with the latest unreleased code something you've tried? If not, could you please provide some test cases that are failing for you? That way we can test them with the latest code in master, and make sure releasing that as-is would fix your problem too.
