I am very new to Linux but I have managed to install winboat on my Mint 22.3 and have successfully installed two old windows apps via the desktop app listed in winboat. They run fine from the windows desktop but everyone says that these windows apps can be run as native linux apps, at least from the list in winboat. However, no apps from the app list in winboat will run except the windows desktop, there is just a brief flicker when you try to run them, and they are not listed alongside all the linux apps, like Libreoffice etc.
Am I wrong in thinking that they can run as if they were linux apps, i.e. separate from the winboat desktop?
While I can live with opening the full desktop and running the apps from there, it would be more convenient to just open then from either the winboat app list or the native linux app list.
I have done a search for similar issues but the one recently started by latejunction which supposedly resolved this issue hasn't worked for me. Help would be appreciated.
