Description
It appears to me (confirming what Adrian Black showed in his video) that the Analog Rendering Effects don’t seem to make a difference in HGR display mode. Is that true?
I have an Apple IIe and maybe the only double-HR software I have is Dazzle Draw. Consequently, everything else (games I have) don’t benefit from the Analog Rendering Effects. This is unfortunate, as it appears to be a fantastic feature. I know I am not going to eliminate color fringing, but my understanding is that colors could be “nudged” over a bit, almost like a sub-pixel horizontal positioning, such that the fringing actually helps definition on the edges of solid white adjacent pixels, or of course, when rendering text.
Am I wrong about this? I don’t see any clarity in these cases under regular HGR despite enabling the setting for all modes.
