Trouble implementing in swift 3

Hi, David Here.
I am having troubles implementing this SlideOut in swift 3, it used to work in previous versions but after the language update doesn't work right.

Problem:
-The modal segue es drepecated in xcode 8, i don't know if this is the problem but maybe an issue.
-When the button or gesture activates de Slide Out, everything works fine but the snapshot that took form the view that was before.

I will appreciate if you can help me or give alternatives to solve this problem.

I just made my own slide out menu using swift 3 following your tutorial and didn't have a problem. I used the Present Modally segue and also changed MainViewController into a TabBarController. Works great.
