[Bug] Steam randomly restarts

• I found no existing issues matching my bug
• My issue is not caused by a theme
• My issue is not caused by a plugin

Describe the Bug

Steam Randomly restarts, and after this restart the store won't load and crashes / reloads steam but after this crash / restart the millenium in the top left steam option isn't there anymore

Millenium option re appears when steam has been closed and started again

start steam and wait untill it does it
thats how it happened to me at least just happens randomly either 10 mins after being opened or 30

So I've used plugins, themes and i thought they caused this issue but since removed all plugins and themes and the issue persists

Issue persists in steam beta branch and stable branch

When does it normally happen? Does your system go to sleep or anything notable?

no just randomly either when im playing a game or when steam is just open in backround it closes and reopens steam (i have had steam on other monitor so i could see tab just randomly close out and pop up) then afterwards when i try to load storepage etc it just goes into infinite loading loop and then crashes or reloads steam without millenium present in the top left

i tried both beta branch and stable branch of steam and they both have same issue

Millenium was uptodate, and i was using Steam Stable version not beta

Did you have a plugged in controller when this happens? Steam sometimes like to screw things up when controller is plugged

Yea, i was playing a game with xbox controller over 2.4 ghz wireless connection
Steam never randomly does this without millennium tho
